Who We Are

The Feeders Foundation is a nonprofit making and non-governmental organisation. It is a group of concerned individuals with the ideal of combating hunger and poverty. We believe that through concerted efforts and awareness, people will rise and offer helping hands willingly and freely to their neighbors. Through empowerment, we will help people lift themselves out of poverty which is a panacea to ending hunger.
Without education, poverty could be transferred but to prevent this, we are committed to catering for the educationally less-developed and less-privileged children. We are aware that some people derive joy when they help humanity; it is these ones we partner with for our development and community services.

Founder’s Goodwill Message

Environment they say, is the determinant of history. Environment shapes a man. The shape thereof depends on what a man conceives and the kind of energy he chooses to perceive and internalise. My environment shaped me. I was born into a family; into an environment that made my growing up a tedious one. Life boxed and punched me but I remained resolute and resilient. My tenacity and doggedness kept pushing me to want to be a success. Like every struggling young mind out there, I struggled through life with a mix of hope and hopelessness. Every single day in the past only offered me a chance to breathe. The dawn of each day only made me see light; nothing unique aside that. I was just alive and not living!

Having been brought up by my father, a captivating man of virtue, a great one yet  I walked through life with the vision of a child in the desert; looking through large expanse of sandy land with no visible destination in sight. Like that same child in the desert, I began to develop survival instinct against the wild. The scorching sun of the desert sun toughened me rather than breaking me. I set goals as I saw many losing wandering off having lost the touch of life. Life was not smiling.

Never judge anyone without listening to the stories he or she has to tell first. Most times, even after the story, show empathy first before reeling out your opinion. With that, you may have succeeded in saving a future as your opinion may either build the mind or weaken it but whichever way the opinion goes, your empathy would make up for it or boost it. This, my life’s journey taught me.

My father was an extremely busy man as a Civil Servant, a devoted Christian and an engaged instrumentalist. My Mother; separated from me till I got to the college. Life was extremely tough because I grew up almost by myself. I knew if I did not wake up and lay my bed the way I would want to sleep on it in future, then no one will teach me how to. This is the dilemma of my childhood. Rise and build yourself within the tough climatic reality or get drowned by the vicissitudes of life. Life kept whispering to me and still does daily that I am the architect, the builder and the designer. It is this lesson of life that inspires me to hone a skill in human resource management. The ability to bring people together and manage them effectively is one of the central pillars of my success and the most formidable pillar for the birth of The Feeders Foundation.

In my quest to rise like the phoenix, I met a seraphic gem that chose to walk the tight rope with me. Due to life’s numerous punches, I have developed an instinct of caution but she blew the wind of caution away and offered me a breeze of serenity. Ever since, her support has been unending. She gives the most passionate criticism for whatever I intend to do. Her critique usually intelligently propels me. Anytime I intend to carry out a mission, I must factor in her opinion; her reservations must be consciously considered. As a Director, she sometimes see beyond me. Her passion for humanity and societal advancement is as tall as she is. To her, women must understand and work on their role as a pillar that is indispensable in building the future we all desire.

The journey, though rough like the journey of many, keeps bringing out the best in me because I have no other alternative than to be the best otherwise I would be lost in the race. The rough beginning I had is the new beginning I intend to give those with similar experiences today through The Feeders Foundation. The inspiration for the emergence of The Feeders Foundation is from those lost in the journey. Not many will come out unscathed like me but I know if they have a chance to see at least a glimmer of hope ahead, they will survive and be the best they can be. They can be able to see the best in themselves and rise to the zenith of success. With that, we will be building our society gradually for the future. Whoever is given hope today carries a burden of being a source of hope for others tomorrow. That is the logical idea we must utilise effectively in order to SAVE THE FUTURE.

Thank you

If the war against hunger can be won, human peaceful co-existence is almost certain.
